Department of Panchakarma
A clinical department called Panchakarma was created with the mission of "swasthasya swasthya rakshanam aturasya vikara prashanam" to support students in receiving a high‑quality education.
Panchakarma encompasses five major therapeutic procedures: Vamana (therapeutically induced emesis), Virechana (therapeutically induced purgation), Basti (therapeutically induced enema based on oil and decoction), Nasya (therapeutically induced nasal drops), and Raktamokshana (therapeutically induced blood letting). In addition, all types of Bahyasnehana (external oleation therapies) and Swedana procedures (therapeutically induced sudation) are performed.
Our department's primary goal is to impart traditional knowledge about Panchakarma and its applicability to a wide range of illnesses, from paediatric to geriatric, with a focus on orthopaedic, rheumatological, neurological, pulmonary, and other conditions.
